20 HOURS + final CONCERT

PLAN

  • From Monday 11 to Friday 15 July
  • Piano and Lyric: lesson from 10 to 2,30 PM with thirty minutes for coffee break
  • Orchestral Conducting and Music production: lesson from 4 PM to 8,30 PM with thirty minutes for coffee break
  • Saturday 16 July
  • Rehearsals and the final Concert

RULES

  • The Courses are for musicians of any age
  • The Deadline for registration is July 5, 2016
  • The first payment is 30% of the amount
  • The final payment is before the start of the course
  • In case of cancellation will not be refunded any advance
  • The Concert and the rehearsals will be recorded (video / audio)
  • There is a certificate of participation




For participants who do not live in Rome there is the possibility to stay in a B&B in Via dei Colli Portuensi in Rome, near the site of the courses.
The rooms in this Bed & Breakfast are air conditioned and equipped with satellite TV flat-screen, coffee maker, private bathroom with tub or shower, bidet, bathrobes, complimentary toiletries and hair dryers.
The B & B Viale Dei Colli Portuensi 589 is also entirely covered by WiFi.

The interpretation of the Piano repertoire solo and four hands and methodological strategies closely linked to the study and reading of the score.
Addressed to experienced pianists and piano duo who want to improve the performance of one or more pieces of chamber music.
The teacher Michele Pentrella will work on the interpretation of the piano repertoire solo and four hands and methodological strategies closely linked to the study and reading of the score.
The course will end with a performance at the Teatro Arvalia in Rome of all participants.

  • The piano soloists present a free choice program lasting about 10 minutes;

  • The duo piano four hands have a choice program lasting about 10 minutes;

  • The selected works must be indicated in advance in the registration form;

Michele Pentrella

He graduated from the Conservatory "N. Piccinni "in Bari Italy under the guidance of Maria Lucrezia Pedote with honors, the praise and honorable mention.
At the same Conservatory he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma Level II with 110 and Lode.
It specialized with Sergio Perticaroli at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and performing in concerts in Italy and with great success in Europe.
Michele is Main Piano Teacher at the Conservatory "A. Scontrino "of Trapani.

A course for conductor can provide an essential educational element for all those who undertake the career of the musician.
The proposed study is "imagined" in the different stages that a conductor needs before each concert.

Simone Veccia

Born in Rome into a family of singers, he grew up in New York where very young began to study singing with his father.
He studied piano with V. Di Bella and conducting with N. Samale.
Graduated in composition with A. Cusatelli, he graduated the Modern Literature with honors at the University Roma Tre with M. Bortolotto.
Since 1998 he is the Artistic Director of the Piccola Orchestra '900, since 2003 the Festival Cantiere Musica, since 2005 the MeA International Composition Contest.
  He is currently involved in the project with Ninehundred Ensemble for musical languages from the '900 to date.
Professor of instrumentation and orchestration for Ensemble at the Conservatorio A. Scontrino in Trapani, Italy.



Maurizio Gabrieli

Graduated in Composition and Electronic Music at the Conservatory "S. Cecilia "in Rome, Italy.
Author of music for theater, film and animation and chamber music and orchestral.
In recent years he has been invited as a speaker at international conferences in Bristol, Rotterdam, Barcelona, Vienna, Boston and Beijing.
He has taught over Media Science at the Faculty of Sciences of the University "Tor Vergata" in Rome.
He teaches Composition at the Conservatory "Santa Cecilia" in Rome, Italy.



Matteo Pittino

matteopittino

After studying piano and graduated in choral music and choral conducting at the Conservatory of Music "G. Tartini in Trieste with Marco Soanopulo.
He studied composition with Daniel Zanettoviche and Adriano Guarnieri, he graduating at the "G. Verdi" in Milan under the guidance of Giuseppe Giuliano.
Graduated in electronic music with Riccardo Sinigaglia.
He studied conducting with Franco Gallini and Julius Kalmar.
His musical works are for chorus and orchestra, chamber works for various organic, for one instrument, for voice, instruments with magnetic tape or live electronics, for magnetic tapes; is the author of poems, revisions and transcriptions.

Anna Catarci - Soprano

She studied music at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome, Italy.
She won the Mattia Battistini Competition of Rieti, the European Competition A. Belli in Spoleto and the international competition A. Neglia of Enna.
She has sung in some of the most prestigious Italian and European theaters: La Scala in Milan, Reggio di Torino, Teatro Comunale in Bologna, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Fenice Di Venezia, Chatelet in Paris, Real di Madrid, Parco della Musica in Rome, Oratorio Gonfalone, Miami University.
She has worked with leading conductors: N. Bonavolontà, G. Gavazzeni, L. Maazel, R. Chailly, B. Campanella, S. Argiris, P. Stainberg, I. Karabicevnsky.
Repertoire ranges from Baroque to Contemporary.

A stage on Music Production and in particular on the Music Production for the image.
Are you interested in seeing up close how to make music on a professional level with software like Cubase or Logic, then combining the results in managed images with a video software such as Final Cut Pro?
During the stage you will have the opportunity to see first hand how they can be managed the alchemy of digital systems and midi, especially in the making of orchestral scores.

Stefano Centioni

stefanocentioni

Pianist, composer and arranger, specializing in composition for Applied Music, was born and lives in Rome.
It works since the '90s as a composer in the contest of film and advertising soundtrack (for agencies: McCann-Erickson, Saatchi & Saatchi, J.W.Thompson, Cineteam, and others).
He currently teaches "History of Music Applied to Images" and "Theory and Perception Rhythmic Music" at the Conservatory of Benevento Nicola Sala.
